Jack Connelly

Jack was the 32nd President of the Professional Golfers Association of America who began his golf career as a caddy in South Jersey. A US Army veteran, upon returning from Vietnam Jack obtained his PGA membership and joined the PGA tour. He joined Huntingdon Valley C.C. in 1973 and became Head Professional in 1975 until retiring in 2010. Jack has distinguished himself as a player, winning four Philadelphia Section Player of the Year Awards, and was elected to the Philadelphia PGA Playing Legends in 1990. After being elected he served two years each as Secretary and Vice President and became President of the Association in 2000. His greatest responsibility as president came after the horrific attacks on 9/11 when he and the Board of Directors made the decision to postpone the Ryder Cup matches for one year because of security concerns for the high profile athletes on the Ryder Cup teams. Just two weeks after the 9/11 attack Jack represented the PGA of America at a “Tribute to America” on September 25th at the Valerio Open in San Antonio, Texas. At that tribute the Ryder Cup players committed $520 thousand and the PGA joined with an additional $500 thousand making a total 1.2 million dollars donation to the United Way. Jack was honored by the Philadelphia Golf Association with the organization’s highest award, the “Arnold Palmer Lifetime Service Award” in 2010. Jack was inducted into the Philadelphia PGA Section Hall of Fame in 2000, the PGA of American Hall of Fame in 2005 and the Inaugural Hall of Fame at Deptford High School, in New Jersey in 2007. In 2015 he was honored as a PGA Legend at the PGA Annual Meeting in West Palm Beach, Florida. Jack is married to his wife Inge and has a son J.P. who is also a PGA member.
Dave McWilliams

Led the nation in scoring at Philadelphia Textile (Jefferson University) with 22 goals and a school record 16 assists and was named second team All American and captained the Rams to the NCAA Final Four. Dave was a member of the U.S. National Team from 1977-1980, played in the 1979 Pan-American Games and was selected to the 1980 U.S. Olympic Team. Drafted in 1978 by the Tampa Bay Rowdies of the North American Soccer League, played with the Philadelphia Fever of the MISL, the Philadelphia Fury and Chicago Sting, he captained the ‘83-84 Baltimore Blast to a league Championship, holding the record for points and playoff games played He coached the Penn Jersey Spirit in the American Professional Soccer League, was head coach of Baltimore Spirit, and the Philadelphia Kixx. Dave was also Head Coach of Temple University Men’s soccer team and is Staff Coach for the EPYSA Olympic Development Program, has won 2 US Youth Soccer ODP National Championships, EPYSA Coach of the Year, was 3 time Phila. Soccer Seven Coach of the Year (Temple), Soccer Six Champion and Coach of the Year, Southeast PA Soccer HoF, Baltimore Blast HoF, and Philadelphia University HoF. Two time Public League and City Champion.
Carmen Falcone

President of 1945 graduating class and captain of Bridgeport High championship football team. Quarterback of the undefeated 1947 University of Pennsylvania football team under the leadership of legendary Hall of Fame Coach George Munger. College career coincided with the glory years of Penn football, one of the strongest elevens in the country at that time, where he was joined in the backfield by College Hall of Famers Skip Minisi and Reds Bagnell. Co-captained the 1948 team with NFL Hall of Famer, Chuck Bednarik. Starred in two North-South All-Star games. Played the decisive roll throwing two touchdowns and named MVP in the 1948 Blue-Grey game. Attained Honorable Mention All-American status in that same year. Drafted by the NFL New York Giants.
Dorn Taylor

Pitched for the Pittsburgh Pirates making his Major League Baseball debut on April 30th 1987. David Clyde Taylor (Dorn) was a resident of Abington and attended Upper Dublin High School. After attending Pfeiffer University in Misenheimer, North Carolina, Dorn was signed as an amateur free agent in 1981 by the Pittsburgh Pirates. Dorn also played for the Baltimore Orioles in 1990. Playing on a team led by Cal Ripken with a young Curt Schilling, Dorn finished with a 2.45 ERA that year. He finished with a MLB record of 3-5 with a 5.45 ERA and was 74-60 with a 2.95 ERA in 245 games - 169 starts spanning nine minor league seasons (All levels). Assistant baseball coach at Bishop McDevitt High School in Glenside, PA from 1991- 2000 and currently the head freshman baseball coach at Abington High School.
Emil Boures

Never gave up a sack with over 1,000 passes thrown - Classmate of Dan Marino's at the University of Pittsburgh. Emil was born in Bridgeport, PA and was a star at Bishop Kenrick High School (Kennedy-Kenrick / Pope John Paul II). Emil was a four year letterman as a University of Pittsburgh Panther. As a three year starter on the legendary Pitt teams from 1979 – 1981 Emil had a record of 33 – 3, each team winning their bowl game and finishing in the top 8 in the final AP Poll. While the 1980 Pitt team finished second in AP voting to Georgia, they finished first in 13 other national polls. While Emil played guard at Pitt, when he moved to center for his senior season he helped Pitt rank fourth nationally in scoring at 32.8 points per game played. Emil played for the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1982 to 1985, starting every game in the 1983 season where the Steelers ended up losing their playoff game to the eventual Super Bowl Champion Oakland Raiders. Dan Marino, Terry Bradshaw, Franco Harris, Jack Lambert, Lynn Swann, John Stallworth, Mel Blount, Jack Ham, Mike Webster, Donnie Shell, Gary Anderson, Hugh Green, Jimbo Covert, Marc Bailey, Russ Grimm, Mark May are just some of the legendary teammates that Emil has played with over the years.
Chris Lubanski

Chris won the Gatorade National High School Baseball Player of the Year Award and was selected by the Kansas City Royals in the First Round as the 5th overall pick of the 2003 Major League Baseball draft. A gold and bronze medalist playing for Team USA, and a First Team High School All-American, Chris grew up in Schwenksville and is a graduate of Kennedy-Kenrick High School. Chris played professional baseball from 2003-2011 (Royals, Blue Jays, Marlins, and Phillies organizations) and was a two-time team Player of The Year (Burlington Bees 2004 and High Desert Mavericks 2005) while earning All-Star honors at each professional classification he competed at including Class A (Midwest League 2004), Class A Advanced (California League 2005), Class AA (Texas League 2007), and Class AAA (Pacific Coast League 2010). Chris finished his pro career with 109 home runs, 470 RBI’s, 498 runs, and 872 hits in 834 games with an .816 OPS. But most important, as Chris said, “the most fun I ever had playing baseball was when I was at Kennedy- Kenrick. Playing with your buddies working toward a championship, there’s nothing more fulfilling than that.” Chris returned to the classroom upon his retirement from professional baseball, and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 2016.
Miki DeBaise

All College Field Hockey First Team, United States Reserve Field Hockey Team, United States Field Hockey Squad, United States Lacrosse Team. Miki Waldman DeBaise played field hockey, basketball and lacrosse all four years at Arcadia. She was selected to the “All College” First Team in field hockey for two years. She was captain of the field hockey team. Miki also was named to the U.S. Lacrosse Team, the U.S. Reserve Field Hockey Team, the U.S. Lacrosse World Touring Team and the Great Britain–Ireland Touring Team. She represented the U.S. in field hockey against New Zealand, Australia, Netherlands and South Africa. She became a United States Professional Tennis Association member following graduation and was the winner of the over 40 USPTA National Team Championships Doubles in 1990. Head Tennis coach at Swarthmore College (1974-1975), Temple University (1975-1979) and the Academy of the New Church (1998-2018). Greg Green

Greg has been a cross country/track and field coach for over 30 years at Cardinal Dougherty HS, Nazareth Academy (Assistant Coach), Saint Basil Academy, and now Lower Moreland HS. He has taken three different schools to either the indoor or outdoor national track and field championships, producing 5 Nike Indoor All American Relays. Most of his success was at St. Basil Academy in Jenkintown PA, where he was the head coach of both cross country and track and field from 2001 to 2015. His Cross-Country teams won 3 PIAA AA State Championships, 8 AACA League Championships, and 7 PIAA AA District One Championships. Greg’s Track and Field teams won 2 AACA League Championships and 4 District One AA Championships. Under his guidance, Saint Basil Academy produced 57 individual or relay District 1 AA Champions, and 47 indoor/outdoor state medalist. He coached 2 indoor State Champions in the 3000m run and Distance Medley Relay, as well as the 3200M run and two 4X800M relays at the PIAA Outdoor AA State Championships. Greg was selected cross country “Coach of the Year” by the Philadelphia Inquirer in 2004, and was inducted into the Saint Basil Academy Hall of Fame in 2016. Greg is currently coaching track and field at Lower Moreland HS, and teaches in the Philadelphia School District.
Dean Lent

Coached 5 PIAA State Track and Field Championship teams at Swenson Arts and Technology High School (2007, 2008, 2009 PIAA AA Girls Teams Champions and 2009 and 2012 Pennsylvania Track and Field Coaches Association {PTFCA} Indoor Girls Team Champions) as well as 2012 PIAA AA Girls Runner-Up . He was also a 4 time PTFCA Track and Field Girls Coach of the Year (2007 Outdoor Track, 2008/2009 Indoor Track, 2009 Outdoor Track and 2012 Outdoor Track). Dean is currently the Dean of Students and the Athletic Director at Swensen Arts and Technology High School in Philadelphia, PA. While at Ursinus College, Dean was the 1987 ECAC 800m Indoor Champion and an NCAA Indoor 800 meter national qualifier in 1987 and 1988. He holds Ursinus College school records for Indoor Track for 800m, 1000m and 1500m. Dean was also the head track coach of Ursinus College from 2001- 2004 and in 2014 was inducted in to the Ursinus College Athletic Hall of Fame.

Lisa is an internationally renowned award winning journalist. Her career features in-the-moment first hand reporting across a sweeping variety of personalities, cultures and underlying issues. While most recognize Lisa for her Sports Emmy nominated and Gracie Award winning sports reporting, Lisa also travelled the world to bring stories from the Middle East, Italy, Haiti, and even the OJ Simpson Trial. As a basketball star for the Upper Merion Vikings and a guard for the Penn State Lady Lions basketball team Lisa embodied all the attributes of a natural leader. Lisa is currently a sideline reporter for NBA Basketball and ESPN's Monday Night Football. Lisa won a Gracie Award from the Association for Women in Radio and Television for best feature in 2009 and a Sports Emmy nomination for the touching story “Ray of Hope” in 2008. She traveled to Haiti for a powerful story on the U17 national women’s soccer team just months after the country was devastated by an earthquake in 2010. As a reporter for ESPN and ESPN on ABC since 2000 Lisa covered the O.J. Simpson murder case for ABC and reported worldwide for ESPN. Lisa also provided a series of reports from the Middle East prior to the Iraq War, hosted ESPN's coverage of the 2006 Winter Olympics from Turin, Italy and coverage of the 2002 FIFA Soccer World Cup.
Tony Resch

Named to the National Lacrosse League (NLL) Hall of Fame in 2008. At Yale University he was a two-time All-American and three-time All-Ivy League. Tony won a Gold Medal in the 1990 World Lacrosse Championship in Perth, Australia, was an assistant coach for the Gold Medal winning US National Team in 2010, and recently led the 2015 U.S. men's national indoor team to a Bronze medal at the FIL World Indoor Lacrosse Championship. Tony was captain of the MILL Championship Philadelphia Wings teams in the 1989 season and 1990 seasons and was also head coach of the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League from 1994 to 2001. As head coach he led the Wings to four MILL Championships, and as an assistant coach won three MILL championships with the Chesapeake Bayhawks (2003, 2012-13). Tony is currently a coach at LaSalle College High School where the Explorers have won four state titles in 12 years, and have won 19 of last 23 Philadelphia Catholic League Championships, he is also a coach of the US National Lacrosse team.
Lisa Ortlip Cornish

Led Norristown High School to the Pennsylvania Girls State Basketball Championship in 1977 and was named to the PA State All-Tournament team. Played basketball and volleyball all four years at Villanova and was selected to the All-Big 5 Basketball Team in her sophomore, junior and senior years going to the final four in 1982. Inducted into the Inaugural Big Five Hall of Fame, and the NAHS Hall of Champions in 1989. Voted MVP for Wildcats in the 1979-1980 and 1981-1982 seasons. Currently holds 13 Nova Women’s basketball records including 3rd all-time scoring leader, 2nd all-time leading rebounder, and blocked-shot leader for the season and her career and was Inducted into Villanova's Basketball Hall of Fame in June 1988. Coached Bishop Kenrick High School volleyball team for five years winning the Philadelphia Catholic League Championship in 1986. Head basketball coach at Ursinus College for 16 years and led them to Tri-Champion of the Southeast Middle Atlantic Conference. Six years as head volleyball coach at Ursinus. As a player won the 2017 US Senior Women’s Basketball Gold Medal and the 2013 and 2017 Senior National Games for Volleyball.
Susan Francia

2 Time Olympic Rowing Gold Medalist, 5 time national champion. She was the US Rowing Female Athlete of the Year and won multiple championships with the University of Penn and the US Women's National Team. Susan won a U.S. National Team Gold Medal with the 2012 Olympic Team in London, England and with the 2008 Olympic Team in Beijing, China. She won the Remenham Cup at the 2011 and 2006 Henley Royal Regatta. At the FISA World Rowing Championships in 2006 she won the gold medal in the women's eight with a new world's best time of 5:55.50. Susan also won the championship eight at the 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, and 2012 Head of the Charles Regatta in Cambridge, Mass.

Montgomery County Coaches Hall of Fame. Two Suburban One championships at Upper Merion High School and ninety-six wins over 15 seasons. Twice honored as Football Coach of the Year. Upper Merion High 1971 and 1972 Suburban League championships, and piloted the Pennsylvania Big 33 squad to a 21-19 victory over Archie Griffin led Ohio team in 1973. A 35-year Upper Merion faculty member, Murphy led his varsity team to a 96-51-4 record over 15 seasons (a .653 winning percentage). In 1999, two decades after retiring as Upper Merion head coach, he was named Honorary Coach at the Montgomery County All-Star Football Game.

HS 149 – 15 and a record for most wins in a season – 42. Sixth all-time winner in PA HS wrestling history. 1st Team USA Wrestling Academic All-American, 1997; Academic All-American NHSCA, 1996; NHSCA All-American, 1997; Amateur Wrestling News All-American, 1997. Three time captain at the University of Penn. Two time NCAA semi-finalist. University of Penn NCAA All-American, NWCA Academic All-American, Three time captain of Penn; 1999 Penn State Open Champion; two time All-Ivy League; 1998 Ivy League Rookie of the Year. Two time selection to NWCA All-Star Wrestling Classic; 5th place in World Trials and 2nd place in Midlands Open while wrestling for Penn. He was only the 16th four time finalist in EIWA history; two-time NCAA semi-finalist.

Athletic Director at Springfield (Montco) and St. Basil's Academy for over 25 years. All-time great track and field athlete at Father Judge High School and was Inducted into Father Judge HOF (2008). Was a full scholarship track athlete at the University of Nebraska where he held numerous track and field records. Was a 1968 NCAA All American in the 4X880 relay. Was named to the All-American Track team and was a Silver medalist in the US Track and Field Championships.

Won 7 straight PIAA State Team Tennis Championships and 7 PA District One Championships in 9 years as coach of the Harriton High School ( Lower Merion School District) girl’s tennis team. Jack was a baseball player, coach and umpire for 50 years. He played 1st base for Lafayette College in the College World Series. After retiring at age 60 from the electrical business, he was named head coach of the Harriton HS Girls Tennis Team in 2004 and led them to the PIAA State team championship that year, followed by another 6 State team championships in a row.

LaSalle High School Lacrosse Coach winning four PA State Championship titles (2004, 2008, 2009 and 2013), PA State runner-up three years, and was the Philadelphia Inquirer Lacrosse Coach of the Year in 1997 and 2004. A LaSalle H.S. record of 454 wins and 98 losses. La Salle’s 2008 team was ranked #1 in the nation by US Lacrosse Magazine. He played with the Philadelphia Wings from 1994-1996 and is a member of the US Lacrosse Eastern PA HOF, Montgomery County Coaches Hall of Fame and LaSalle High School Hall of Fame. His coaching career began at La Salle College High School where he started the program of boys’ lacrosse and has been the only coach since 1992. He was elected Philadelphia Coach of the year in 1997 and 2004. From 1995-1996, he played forward for the Philadelphia Wings of the Major Indoor Lacrosse League (MILL). In 2010, Leahy was the first lacrosse coach to be inducted into the Montgomery County Coaches Hall of Fame, and in 2013 he was inducted into the Philadelphia Lacrosse chapter of the US Lacrosse Hall of Fame. He has had the privilege of coaching 250 All-Catholics, 11 League MVP’s, 50 US Lacrosse All-Americans, 5 Under Amour All-Americans, 80 All-State players, 10 Major League Lacrosse. In 2016, Bill was an assistant coach for the USA U19 lacrosse team that won a gold medal at the World Games in Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada. At those games Bill was recognized with by the Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) with the Graham Lester Spirit of Lacrosse Award for Team USA.

2017 HoF “Unsung Hero Founding Advisory Board member of Montgomery County Coaches Hall of Fame, currently First Vice President, Chairman of volunteers for Montgomery County Amateur Golf Championship since 2004, Board of Directors member and secretary for Holy Saviour Club since 2002, overseeing expansion of the club while founding the Triple S Bocce courts and Bocce league. Joined Sister Cities Program between Norristown and Montella, Italy in 1999, became president in 2005 and has hosted high school age children from Montella on cultural exchange trips to Norristown, as well as taking high school age children from Norristown to Montella in alternate years. Board of Directors the Greater Norristown Police Athletic League 1998 through the present, coached and volunteered for West Norriton and East Norriton Biddy Basketball from 1989 through 1996, volunteer coach with East Norriton Junior Legion baseball from 1994 through 1997. Jim was a volunteer statistician for Norristown High basketball since 1998, and a volunteer assistant coach for Norristown High basketball in 2000.
Demer Holleran

Demer is possibly the most dominant and decorated Squash player in US history. A member of the US Squash Hall of Fame, she led the Princeton Tigers to the 1989 NCAA Squash title, was a four-time College All-American and won the NCAA Women’s individual squash titles in 1986, 1987 and 1989. While at Princeton she also found time to be named All-Ivy League in Field Hockey and Lacrosse as well as Squash. As a professional Demer won six hardball and six softball US Singles titles, 10 national doubles titles, three world doubles titles and one world mixed-doubles title. She was a U.S. National Squash Champion for 16 straight years in either singles or doubles. As a coach at the University of Pennsylvania for nine years she led the Quakers to an undefeated season and NCAA Squash championship in 2000. Demer also coached the U.S. National team for four years. She went on to open and run Fairmount Athletic Club in Upper Merion, continuing to coach the regional sports community.
Tom Lonergan

Tom is a Cheltenham High three-sport standout and La Salle University alumnus, who went on to win virtually every type of title and award as a girls’ basketball coach. As coach of Bishop McDevitt High from 1984 to 1999, Central Bucks East from 1999 to 2013 and Gwynedd Mercy Academy from 2013 to present, Lonergan accumulated championships and awards while sending players on college programs. Lonergan was Philadelphia Catholic League Coach of the year six times over 11 years, won four Catholic League Championships, 11 Suburban One Championships, had a 90 percent winning percentage in Suburban One Conference play, was named the Philadelphia Inquirer Coach of the Year in 1988, ’94 and ’02, and Coach of the Decade for Bucks / Montco ’00, the Montgomery County Coach of the Year in 1986, ’87, ’88, ’91, ’94 and ’97, the Southeastern PA Coach of the Year in 1987 and 1997, Philadelphia Daily News Coach of the Year in 1994 and Suburban One Coach of the Year in 2012.
Bobby Baker

Bobby rose to national prominence as a record-shattering quarterback for the Upper Merion Vikings. Known as the “Mr Fling” portion of the pass-catch duo -- with receiver Bobby Thomas, “Mr Cling” -- they set volumes of state, district and school records. When Baker graduated from Upper Merion he held Pennsylvania State records for passing yardage in a season (2,728) and career (5,387), attempts in a season (309), completions in a game (32), completions in a season (193), completions in a career (363), touchdown passes in a career (74) and TD passes over two seasons (tie). Fifteen years after graduation he still held those records. He led Upper Merion to two Suburban One Titles. He was field general in one of the greatest high school football comebacks in history -- the 1972 title game against Abington, a 27-24 victory chronicled in the book “Incredible Football Feats”. Baker went on to play at Florida State and Temple University and then served as an assistant coach at Temple.
Joe Bello

Joe was an All-League Football Selection three years on both offense and defense while at Archbishop Kennedy High School, and was an All–Area selection two years and MVP in his junior year. In his senior year Joe led the league in rushing yards and TDs, was second in receiving and was named captain of the Montgomery County All-Star game. Bello won back-to-back championships and was voted to the Times Herald All-Century football team. He went on to play at Delaware Valley University.
